In thirteen readable chapters, The Framework of Our Faith makes an innovative presentation of historic Christianity. The contributors to the book share a common burden: namely, that Christians at the beginning of the twenty-first century have too few opportunities to adequately experience the foundational truths that have sustained the church over the centuries. Accordingly they have followed the ancient Apostles' Creed that came largely to its final form in the fourth century. The two primary goals, then, are (1) to provide a framework for believers to understand "Our Faith" more fully, and (2) to establish a foundation for unbelievers to make a wholehearted "leap of faith" into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Few Christians have had a greater impact on our generation than Dr. Francis A. Schaeffer. Now, for the first time, three of his essential works are available in one volume---The God Who Is There, Escape from Reason, and He Is There and He Is Not Silent. Schaeffer himself considered this trio foundational to his entire life's work. This edition includes text he revised shortly before his death.

A Vision Book about St. Francis and St. Clare, the two very popular saints of Assisi. Susan Saint Sing, a former resident of Assisi and follower of Francis, takes the reader on a journey to the place where Francis prayed before the San Damiano Cross. Not only does she recall her own personal journey to Assisi, she recounts the spiritual and physical transformation of Francis in his quest to "rebuild" the church - a quest that began in the small, broken-down church of San Damiano but was the catalyst for a much broader reconstruction. These meditations not only detail and explain the images on the cross itself, but they explain the powerful message of the cross - transformation: "It speaks to us still, beckoning us to repair our lives, our relationships, our failings - honor of Him who gave his life there on the cross in order for us to become more in the fullness of his presence, to be instruments of peace."

Directed by Michael Curtiz ( Casablanca ), this beautiful film is full of vivid color and superb cinematography. It also stars Stuart Whitman and Pedro Armendariz, and it is based on the novel by Louis de Wohl. (Not long after playing St. Clare, Dolores Hart left Hollywood and became a cloistered contemplative Benedictine nun.)
